ABOUT CLEAN EATS AUSTRALIA

Clean Eats Australia was founded eight years ago by Tony, a former restaurant owner passionate about delivering premium ready-to-eat meals. What began as a small side business quickly evolved into a thriving operation serving all of Victoria, with plans to expand to Queensland. Tony’s goal was clear: bring high-quality, flavourful meals to a market saturated with mediocre options.

THE CHALLENGE

As Clean Eats grew, so did the challenges. Manual packing processes limited production to 350 units per hour, while rising demand required faster, automated tray-sealing solutions. Tony also needed a partner capable of providing reliable technical support and long-term service — something past suppliers had failed to deliver.

The market might be full, but not with good food. We wanted to fill that gap with something exceptional.

CHOOSING G.MONDINI CIGNO AND SELECT EQUIP

At the Fine Foods trade show, Tony discovered Select Equip and the G.Mondini Cigno tray sealer. Once seen as out of reach, the system became essential as Clean Eats scaled production. Compact, efficient, and reliable, the Cigno proved the ideal fit for the company’s growing needs.

The decision to work with Select Equip went far beyond machinery. Tony recalls, “Shane didn’t just sell a machine; he listened, understood our vision, and delivered the solution we truly needed.”

LOOKING AHEAD

With the Cigno at the heart of production, Clean Eats plans to expand automation by adding dosing and sleeving systems. Select Equip’s ongoing partnership ensures continuous growth, efficiency, and reliability. Tony concludes, “They’re not just a supplier — they’re a partner in our success.”

Since integrating the G.Mondini Cigno, Clean Eats has more than doubled output to 700 units per hour — with plans to reach 1,000. Testing is extending shelf life from 14 to 21 days, improving freshness and customer satisfaction. The plug-and-play design has streamlined operations, tripling productivity and empowering the team to meet demand with confidence.
