This new patented technology can manufacture paperboard-based trays starting from two separate pieces of board, combining them without the need for glue. The machine uses the inner thermoplastic film to bond the two components. One major advantage is that the flange is made from a single continuous piece, without sealing discontinuities or variable thickness, ensuring perfect leak-proof performance for MAP applications. With KIRIGAMI, you can expand the market for MAP and SKIN trays for chilled and fresh food using an innovative, sustainable cardboard-based packaging system that reduces plastic content by up to 90%.
